THANK YOU.

As mentioned at the services, the family [ me especially ] was overwhelmed with the showing of love, affection, and support for Reid.  If I was not aware before then, I CERTAINLY am aware now of the impact Reid had as a friend, compatriot, mentor, coach, companion and "good guy" to those he touched....

It was very uplifting and I will take that to my grave. I am forever grateful for the kind words expressed by so many.......

Thank you to Cascade Chorus Director, Coby Foster, Salem SenateAires Director, Steve Morin, and Mel Knight for leading such a tremendous show of musical harmony in support of Reid and to Jerry Harrison and TOONZ for their songs of inspiration.

For those interested, you will be pleased to know that Daizy, Reid's yellow lab,has indeed found her permanent home!  See on the pictures page her new family who have expressed joy for bringing Daizy into their home!  What a relief......

On Sunday, March 15th, 2009, Mom, Deb, Alicia, Matt, and I drove to Devil's Churn to spread Reid's ashes....[see the Devil's Churn page] It is where our Dad's ashes are as well -- and where mine will be one day....It's the most beautiful spot on the Oregon coast and one that lends itself to peaceful reflection....and other emotions depending on the weather and the time of day!

Stop by sometime on your travels along the coast and say hi to Reid....if you listen closely you JUST might hear him harmonizing "Is There Sometime We Can Get Together?"...................[smile].

A LETTER FROM HEAVEN.....

...Reid spent a great deal of time with Portland and then the Eugene and lastly Salem, Oregon Chapters in the Evergreen District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. In addition, Reid was an International Stage Presence Judge for the Society.....if he were still with us on this earth he would continue his strong love and promotion of and recommendation for....Barbershop Harmony.
