Directions [It is approximately a 2 1/4 hour drive from Raleigh]
Topsail Island is centrally located between the
coastal cities of Jacksonville and Wilmington, about 5 miles east of
U.S. 17. This is the main highway along the southeastern coast of
North Carolina. Depending on whether you are coming from the north or
south, Topsail Island is accessible from U.S. 17 from either NC Route
210 or 50.
From
the NORTH or West area via I-40:
From Interstate 40, Take Exit 408 Rocky Point / Highway 210 ( the
Second Beaches Exit ).Go east 13 Miles towards Hampstead
and Topsail Island. In
Hampstead at light, turn Left (North) go 8 miles on HYY 210 and 17
towards Jacksonville to Right turn at light and Exxon Station
continuing on HWY 210 East towards Topsail Island.At next light turn Right onto Highway 50 and 210, continue onto
Topsail Island and Surf City.Turn
at first left after crossing Bridge (before the light by Batts Grill)
following Highway 210 north up the Island.Ninth Street is 2 miles north of this turn just past mile
marker 10.Turn left onto
Ninth St and head for 9026 on the right.
FROM JACKSONVILLE NC, Go south 14 miles from New River Bridge on Highway 17,
turn East (left by Texaco Station and it's Big Flag and Dixon High
School ) onto Highway 210. Continue 14 miles to Topsail Island and
Ninth St.
From the SOUTH area I95: •
Exit I95 In North Carolina exit 14 Route 74 Lumberton. Go East on Rt.
74. It merges with 76 then Route 17 Just west of Wilmington. (Long
Drive) Follow Hwy 17 over bridge and through Wilmington, Ogden,
Hampstead •
Approximately 8 miles north of Hampstead, turn right at light and
Exxon Station onto Hwy 210 east. •
At the stop light, turn right on Hwy 210 and 50 continue onto Topsail
Island and Surf City. •Turn
at first left after crossing Bridge (before the Light by Batts Grill)
following Highway 210 north up the Island. Ninth St. is 2 miles north
of this turn just past mile marker 10. Turn left onto Ninth and head
for 9026.
